Product Description

Gonzo journalist extraordinaire Hunter S. Thompson's 'scorching epochal sensation' (Tom Wolfe) redefined journalism. Just to nail it down, in his own words, 'There is nothing in the world more helpless andirresponsible than a man in the depths of...the dope decade.' And now that he's blown his brains out Hemingway-style, Thompson's indelibly immortal. And, he'll always be a great read to get to the grist of the American psyche-mill of the last four decades of the 20th century. 204p. Pap.

I've never been to Las Vegas until I read this book. Ok, I still haven't been there but this books play on words and imagery made me feel like I was right next to Gonzo on his binge of a thrill ride. I couldn't put it down and finish the book in four of five sittings over just two days. Mesmerizing fun!
