Books By The Foot

About Books By The Foot

Started by Strand co-owner Nancy Bass Wyden, our team of book lovers has created libraries for personal residences, hotel lobbies, movie sets, and wedding centerpieces. Books by the Foot has been putting together curated collections since 1986, when Bass Wyden noticed interior designers shopping the store for large quantities of books for their clients. From this idea a department was born, and it has since grown into a resource for set decorators, interior designers, brides and bibliophiles around the world.

Books by the Foot Associate

Phone: 212-660-6656

Abbi grew up on a moisture farm on the desert planet of Tatooine - or possibly, in a small town in central Kentucky. She has studied at the University of Pennsylvania and Oxford University, and earned degrees in music and film. She likes writing, traveling, her godchildren, gloomy weather, and good cups of tea.

Abbi will read anything, but she tends toward the odd and creative. She loves British fantasy, artist autobiographies, and anything with a complex female heroine. She just finished Shonda Rhimes’ The Year of Yes – which, YES – and is currently working her way through all the books she hasn’t read from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series.
