The True Story of The 3 Little Pigs
Ok guys, this one’s a classic. If you don’t already have a copy that shows up at least twice a week in your bedtime read-aloud rotation, we can help. If you do already have a copy and just haven’t read it yet this week, we can help. You’ve heard the story before--not THIS story, but THE story. A wolf harasses three little pigs, who have to outsmart him to save their lives, blah blah blah. In THIS story, we get the truth. The wolf just wanted a cup of sugar, man; It’s not HIS fault his neighbors just happened to be scaredy-cat pigs.

George and Martha
We’re going way-back this week, courtesy of the two most happenin’ hippos in all of storytime! No matter what scrapes they’re getting into (flying in a hot air balloon, spying on each other in the bathtub, or eating pea soup), or what the ambiguous nature of their relationship is, this dynamic duo comes out on top.

That Is NOT A Good Idea
Consider this our first "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" read-aloud, as well as a lesson in basic safety. Trust you instincts, kids!

What Is Part This, Part That?
This week we're K.I.S.Y.- Keeping It Simple, Ya'll- with a little help from April's superstar, Harriet Ziefert. We're invoking some witty wordplay to help liven up the end of the week, and we're going to need your help in lifting these beautifully illustrated flaps to reveal the answers to some fun questions.

Pigeon Poop
Thanks to our kindred spirits in Portland, this month is National Bathroom Reading month, and we'd be remiss in our "doodies" as children't department employees not to acknowledge it. This does not mean, however, that we're going to fly in the face of good taste and get down n' dirty. We're going to stick with what every New Yorker has come to accept as an inevitability of life in the city- pigeon poop!

Donovan's Big Day
This is a huge favorite amongst the staff here, and it's our pleasure to share it with you in celebration and recognition of Gay Pride. Donovan is getting ready to attend his first wedding ever- and more importantly, he's playing a crucial role! Join us in sharing a story about love and family!
