Eddie Izzard at Town Hall
Wednesday June 14: 7:00PM – 9:00PM
The insatiable Eddie Izzard launches his book Believe Me, a memoir of love, death, and jazz chickens. The evening will feature a bit of stand-up, personal photos, a discussion of his personal and professional life, as well as a reading from Believe Me, and a Q&A session with the audience. This event is unlike any event he’s done before! Ticket price includes a copy of Eddie's memoir Believe Me.
In Believe Me, the critically acclaimed, award-winning British comedian, actor, and creative chameleon recounts the dizzying rise he made from the streets of London to West End theatres, to Wembley Arena, Madison Square Garden, and The Hollywood Bowl. Writing with the same candor and razor-sharp insight evident in his comedy, he reflects on a childhood marked by the loss of his mother, boarding school and alternative sexuality, as well as a life in comedy, film, politics, running, and philanthropy. Honest and generous, Izzard's Believe Me is an inspired account of a very singular life thus far.
