Lit, Art & Musical History of the E. Village

September 15: 2:00PM 4:00PM

In partnership with The Levys' Unique New York! NY's First Family of Tour Guides, join native New Yorker and The Levys' Unique New York! tour guide Matt Levy on a 2 hour Literary, Artistic and Musical History walking tour of the East Village. We will explore hidden street art, underground graffiti, former beat poet flophouses and punk rock clubs and hang-outs but we’ll also learn how the East Village went from industrial to artistic to bohemian to bourgeoisie to NYU students. Book, music and art lovers of all ages are welcome.

Admission for this tour is $25 and will take place rain or shine. The entrance fee can be purchased any time during store hours at the main floor registers up until an hour before the tour begins. Please note that payment is required for all online orders at the time of checkout. The tour will meet at the NW corner of Bowery and Houston in front of the large art mural and end at the Strand. All who attend will receive a complimentary $5 gift card upon arrival at the Strand at the close of the tour.
