Events

Beginning September 1, all Strand Events will be located in a newly-renovated space in our 3rd floor Rare Book Room. We ask that all guests at our events either purchase a copy of the featured book or a $10 Strand Gift Card; both options admit one person unless otherwise noted.

Guests may order their book or gift card in advance, via the link on the event detail page or in the store. The books and gift cards will only be available for pick-up in the Rare Book Room upon the guest’s arrival at the event.  If you are placing your order online please select "in store pick-up" as your shipping method. Please note that payment is required at the time the order is placed on our web site. You may also purchase a $10 Strand Gift Card or copy of the book in store at the registers, or at the time of the event in the Rare Book Room.

As you can see from the calendar below, we will continue to offer the same great variety of events—from graphic novelists to photographers to bestselling fiction and non-fiction authors—but now guests will be surrounded by beautiful books in one of New York City’s largest rare book departments. The Rare Book Room will be closed to shoppers during the events.
