Shipping for multi-volume sets is calculated at a per-volume rate. Our standard rates below do not apply. Additionally, please note that we do not ship multi-volume sets internationally. In some cases, due to the size of an order, customers may be contacted after an order has been placed regarding additional shipping costs; in which case regular shipping costs do not apply and shipping rates will be based on weight.
If the ship to address includes a P.O. Box number, your order will be carried by the United States Postal Service. You may not Overnight, Next Day Air, or Second Day Air to a P.O. Box number.
We offer Domestic Standard Shipping, Domestic Express Shipping including both Next Day Air and Second Day Air as well as International Shipping. The table below details delivery expectations, price, tracking availability and restrictions.
Please allow 2-3 days processing time from the time that you place your order in addition to shipping time.

International Shipping
Your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped. These charges are always the recipient's responsibility.
Books that require special handling because they are extremely heavy (for example, multi-volume sets) cannot be shipped outside the U.S. In some cases, due to the size of an order, customers may be contacted after an order has been placed regarding additional shipping costs; in which case regular shipping costs do not apply and shipping rates will be based on weight.

Tracking Your Package
If we've sent your package via UPS, the tracking number will always begin with 1Z and can be tracked here
If you've chosen the Economy method, or we've shipped your package via Priority Mail, your delivery confirmation number will always begin with 028052 and delivery information can be obtained here
The Strand ships to all United States Territories including Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam and the Pacific Islands, and United States Military overseas. Your order will be carried by the United States Postal Service or UPS Second Day Air. See Shipping Options above for prices and delivery expectations.
Shipping FAQ
You may choose to pick up your books in our store at Broadway and 12th Street in New York City. See Store Hours & Directions.
Business days are Monday through Friday. Our Shipping department is closed Saturdays and Sundays.
United States Postal Service takes approximately 4-14 business days and UPS Ground takes approximately 2-6 business days for delivery from the time the order has shipped. UPS Second Day Air should arrive within two business days of the ship date. UPS Next Day Air will arrive the next business day.
Please note that we require 2-3 days processing time here at the store to secure your order. Delivery expectations take effect after your order has shipped, not from the time you place your order.
