This is one of the most refreshing, inspiring, and thought-provoking books I have read in years. Many of us are struggling to make sense of the state of the world today. I know I am! The lyrics of the late, great Marvin Gaye have perhaps never been more appropriate than they are now. Truly people, "What's going on?" In many ways, 'In Defense of Hypocrisy" tells us what's going on. Samuel Adoquei is able to break down and identify the roots of modern society's problems in less than 100 pages. Moreover, Mr. Adoquei's vision for a loving, peaceful future is as brilliant as any I've heard, mostly because he is able to convey such complex ideas in a simple, relatable fashion for all to understand and engage with. Honestly, this book will be the best gift I give my husband for Father's Day. I'm also coming back to Strand today to snag copies for my mother and my two daughters while I'm at it! :) :) I'm tired of listening to politicians and TV pundits go on and on about their "solution" to everything that is happening, when in reality their words carry no meaning. I'm tired of hearing pop stars sing about love and peace while their own behavior belies what they promote in their songs. This book! This book is the closest thing to an anthem for our generation that I have come across. Thank you Samuel Adoquei! You remind me of a modern Marvin Gaye singing, "Only love can conquer hate..."
