Imagine forgetting your life. No memory, no idea about anything. The year is 1937, a young Sydney University professor (Francis Arthur Hildebrandt) wakes up on a beach with a gash on the back of his head. Within a blink of an eye, he falls in love again with a red diamond and then again with a local girl (Nancy MacKinnon). The professor hardly knows his own thought process, let alone a tale of childhood trauma, social isolation, controversy and an auburn-haired beauty. Thomas Krahe makes swift work of his culpability.
