Beyond the Clouds

Born in Texas, Carol Chavez was first in her family to complete degree plans. She earned a Liberal Arts degree from an interest in science and art. Desire to communicate new perspectives on old subjects, she gained a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree, in Communications.
The inspiration to create an elementary study of the planets came from a visit to an elementary school in Mexico. Professor of Cultural Anthropology, Emilia G. Clements invited Ms. Chavez to visually document a summer event. Her favorite stop was a one room school where 1st through 6th grade students
studied core subjects taught by one teacher. Recess was held outside under huge puffy clouds and beautiful majestic mountains.
