Cloud Pavilion

Laura Joh Rowland's historical thriller "The Cloud Pavilion" is a riveting story, set in early 18th century Japan about a savage attack and the quest for justice. Chiyo awakens from a black unconsciousness to realize that she has been raped and left for dead. She has no idea who her assailant is, where she is, or how she got there.
