Readers will encounter an elephant while on safari. They will learn facts about this mammal such as size, special features, habitat, mating, and threats to its survival. They will discover why elephants are important to their ecosystem and how conservationists are working to protect them. Readers will also be introduced to why elephants are so popular to see on guided safaris and places in Africa where that may happen.
