Amanda Lovelace celebrated her author debut in 2016 with her book the princess saves herself in this one; now she's back with her sequel the witch doesn't burn in this one!
This new work tells the tale of the witch: strong, solitary, and now—indestructible. These powerful, relatable poems encourage resilience and fortify women to take control of their own stories. Enemies try to judge, oppress, and marginalize her, but the witch doesn’t burn in this one.
Amanda will be commemorating her new work with fellow poet Courtney Peppernell. Join us in the 10th Floor event space for this poetic gathering! Access is through the elevator at 826 Broadway, next door to our main store location.
Amanda Lovelace grew up a word-devourer & avid fairy tale lover, so it was only natural that she began writing books of her own. When she isn't reading or writing, she can be found waiting for pumpkin spice coffee to come back into season & binge-watching Gilmore Girls. The lifelong poetess & storyteller currently lives in New Jersey with her husband, their moody cat, & a combined book collection so large it will soon need its own home. She has her B.A. in English literature with a minor in sociology. the princess saves herself in this one & the witch doesn't burn in this one are the first two books in the women are some kind of magic series.
