Carolyn Murnick + Adam Sternbergh

Thursday September 14: 7:30PM 8:30PM

Please join us for a free conversation with two New York magazine editors and authors. Stay after the conversation for an opportunity to meet the authors and get a signed book! Copies of The Hot One or The Blinds will be available for purchase at the event.

Join New York Magazine senior editor Carolyn Murnick and culture editor Adam Sternbergh for a discussion about true and fictionalized stories of murder and crime with Vulture books editor Boris Kachka.

Carolyn Murnick's debut memoir The Hot One is a captivating murder mystery and an affecting portrait of female friendship. In 2001 at the age of 22, Carolyn’s childhood best friend Ashley was found murdered in her Hollywood home – the man charged with her murder is an alleged serial killer currently awaiting trial in LA.

In The Blinds, Adam Sternbergh imagines a dusty Texas town populated by criminals—people plucked from their lives, with their memories altered, who’ve been granted new identities and a second chance.

This event is free and open to the public, come join us on the art floor to hear these two writers discuss their work and method! This event will take place in the Photography section on the Strand's 2nd floor, accessible via the store elevator or stairs.
