POSTPONED: Michael Bennett @ The New School

Monday April 2: 7:00PM 10:00PM

With great regret, Michael Bennett has had to postpone all scheduled speaking events for his new book Things That Make White People Uncomfortable indefinitely at this time. He is currently focused on working with his legal team to prepare for his April 23rd court hearing in Houston, and spending time with his family. We stand with Michael during this difficult time. Michael is excited to share and discuss his book with readers in person, and is disappointed to have to postpone these events. He looks forward to picking back up when this case is behind him. Michael Bennett is not available for media at this time; however, Bennett’s co-author Dave Zirin is available for select interviews about the book. Pre-orders will be filled at a later date.

Super Bowl Champion and a three-time Pro Bowl defensive end Michael Bennett is a fearless activist, feminist, philanthropist, and change maker. He also wants to make you uncomfortable.

Michael has decided to add his unmistakable and humorous voice to discussions of racism and police violence, Black athletes and their relationship to powerful institutions like the NCAA and the NFL, the role of protest in history, and the responsibilities of athletes as role models to speak out against injustice. Following in the footsteps of Muhammad Ali and Colin Kaepernick, Michael shows his leadership both on and off the field.

Join us at The New School as Michael discusses these important issues and shares his book. Michael will be joined in conversation by LA Times op-ed columnist, podcast host and author Dave Zirin!
