The event will take place in the Rare Book Room, located on the 3rd floor of the Strand, accessible via the stairs or elevator at 826 Broadway (at 12th Street).

Join us in the Rare Book Room for the second meeting of the New Republic's Salon at the Strand! Each month, the New Republic will sit down with a lauded author to discuss their latest work in depth, and their works in progress.

Carmen Maria Machado is the author of Her Body and Other Parties, which was a finalist for the National Book Award and winner of the National Book Critics Circle’s John Leonard Prize. She lives in Philadelphia with her wife.
