After a successful maiden voyage, we are once again partnering with local comedian Sam Morrison to bring together another home-run team of side splitting comedians for a night of queer stand-up! In the words of the show producers themselves, "Sex is history and gay sex is neglected. This show celebrates the life of queer sex from the first African Queens to surefire homosexual Mike Pence. Each show highlights an artifact of queer sex and a lineup of comedians talking about queer sex!" The night's talent will include Emma Willman, Pat Brown, Anya Volz, Hann Cowger, Ian Fidance, Alex English, and of course, Samuel Morrison!
Join us in the Rare Book Room for another night of revelry and laughs!
Emma Willmann is one of the New York scene's fast risers. She made her late night debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and was selected as part of the 15-minute stand up series on Netflix. In the past two years alone, she was featured in Just for Laughs New Faces, on the cover of Time Out New York as one of 10 Funniest Women in New York featured in Elle Magazine, passed at the NY Comedy Cellar, and all the other top clubs in NYC, featured in 8 NACAS, headlined her own sold out show in The New York Comedy Festival, performed at The Bridgetown Comedy Festival, appeared in a commercial for Dear Kate Underwear, and became a regular on SiriusXM Raw Dog, landing her own monthly show and becoming a regular guest host on the popular SiriusXM Stars AM show Wake Up with Taylor!
Pat Brown is a New York based comedian that can be seen on CBS’s Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Fuse’s Uproarious, Axis”s Gotham Live, NBC’s Comic’s Unleashed and BET ‘s ComicView for multiple appearances. Pat’s animated conversational style is smart silliness that blends societal commentary with first-person storytelling. In 2016, Pat released her critically acclaimed album The Pat Brown Sex-Tape on iTunes and all streaming platforms. The salaciously titled album is not about sex at all but a promotion of the unconventional and a spotlighting on the vulnerability of being different in a smart funny way.
Anya Volz is a New York City-based comedian originally from Vermont. She is a contributing satire writer and content creator for The Hard Times. She has been featured in several national comedy festivals, including Gilda's Laughfest and the Women in Comedy Festival. Recently she appeared on The Special Without Brett Davis and costars in the upcoming series Flamingo. She produces multiple regular shows around Brooklyn and you can catch her upcoming podcast Mad Chills with Anya Volz, in which she interviews comedians about their creepy-crawly stories.
Hann Cowger is a Kansas born Brooklyn based comedian, writer and producer.
Ian Fidance: A delicious cup of tea best drank live, Ian's comedy has been described as "bizarre yet funny" by The Interrobang. A popular guest on both SiriusXM radio's The Bennington Show and the Artie Lange & Anthony Cumia Show, he's been featured in the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, as well as the Boston, Brooklyn, and New York Comedy Festivals. He's written & performed in sketches for Above Average, Conde Nast, and Funny or Die, and was commissioned by Nike to write & star in a live media presentation for their Hyper line of athletic wear. Fidance made his stand up TV debut on the third season of AXS TV's Gotham Comedy Live, can be seen on the upcoming season of Talk 30 to Me on VH1, and was recently featured on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Without a doubt, there is a reason that Complex Magazine named Detroit-bred, NY-based Stand Up Comedian, Writer and Actor Alex English one of “15 Personalities that need to be on television.” English has opened for such notable comedians as Roy Wood, Jr. (The Daily Show), Michelle Wolf (HBO), James Adomian (Comedy Central), and Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live). He has also appeared in the New York Comedy festival. Alex is currently a writer on the critically-acclaimed The Rundown with Robin Thede on B.E.T. English has made appearances on VICELAND’s Funny How? as well as season two of Seeso’s Night Train with Wyatt Cenac.

After graduating with a degree in government from Cornell University, Sam considered a career improving the public good but settled on a career making fun of people improving the public good. Dweebs. At just 23 years old he has been featured on Comic Seen, Stellar Underground, and was recently named one of Mogul's NYC Comics to Watch in 2018. He’s performed all over the world at the Ugandan National Theatre, Kampala International Festival, Fingerlakes Comedy Festival, Smart Aleck Festival, and TrumpCon, but you can catch him headlining colleges all across the US.
