Join former Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky for a conversation about his latest collection of verse, At the Foundling Hospital.
Robert is a poet, essayist, literary critic, and translator, and served as Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress. His work has garnered several awards and his latest work promises to be just as deeply moving. Robert will be joined by Red Hen Press authors/poets Tess Taylor and Katharine Coles for a reading and Q&A!
Tess Taylor is the author of The Forage House (Red Hen Press, 2013), finalist for the Believer Poetry Award, and Work & Days (Red Hen Press, 2016). An avid gardener and cook, she dropped out of Amherst College in her twenties to become a translator and chef’s assistant at L’Ecole Ritz Escoffier in Paris. She is currently the on air poetry reviewer for NPR’s All Things Considered.
Katharine Coles is the author of several poetry collections, the most recent of which is Flight (Red Hen Press, 2016); Recent poems and essays have appeared in Virginia Quarterly Review, Poetry, and Crazyhorse. A 2012–13 Guggenheim Fellow, she teaches at the University of Utah.
This event is free to attend. Copies of Robert's, Tess', and Katherine's books will be available at the event, which takes place in the Rare Book Room, on the 3rd floor of the store at 828 Broadway.
