Harbor

A debut novel, at once an intimate portrait of a group of Arab Muslims living in the United States and the story of one man's journey into- and out of- violence. Centering around Aziz Arkoun as he tries to escape the grind of daily survival in Algeria for the icy shores of Boston, "Harbor" makes vivid the ambiguities of Aziz's past. When he begins to suspect that he and his friends are under surveillance, the story races to an explosive ending that raises questions involving the true identity of a terrorist.
