from all the pain I walked away

from all that it was hurt

I needed to see for myself

what I was really worth

I told you tales I never said

but know that it was truth

for what I wrote to you my friend

was what I had gone through

so read a little, cry a lot

and let the pain go free

because I know that in your heart

you are a lot like me
