The time is the late 1980s, the girl is Emily Woods, and the dream is to become the world's greatest supermodel. With the wits and the looks to make this goal a reality, Emily defies her hippie parents and envelops herself in the exotic world of fashion. But Emily is more than just a small-town girl with lofty dreams: She's been accepted to Columbia, and she refuses to let modeling get in the way of her education. Before long, the cocaine-fueled modeling world catchesup with her and her grades start to slip.
