Quartet

The story of a woman caught in a stranglehold between her lover and his wife. After her husband is arrested, Marya Zelli finds herself alone and penniless in Paris. Helpless, she accepts the hospitality of an English couple living on the fringes of the artistic world. The young woman soon finds herself dependent on them. A strange complicity among the three entangles Marya in a bizarre sexual and psychological relationship that frightens and at the same time fascinates her.
