Did the Toys On My Bed Father You?Sorry about that. My mind is still a bit addled from this rock bio and all the rehabs are filled up through the holidays. Truly a jumble of a memoir, sadly sacrificing chronology and logicality for the sake of toxicology (there I go again...) but in the end signifying very little about one of the immortal voices of Rock and Roll. More spiritual than you thought, sure. More musically talented than you imagined, probably so, Kind of a jerk, aren't they all and wouldn't you be too in they're circumstances. Where this rock bio falls short is in the editing and self-examination; of the book and the life. If the reader chose to submit Steven's falling in love for the first time and really cleaning up for the last time to a drinking game while reading this book they would eventually join him in his next stint at rehab. Not really a tell-all. Unfortunately that would require a clearer memory than the author possesses. Jim Morrison, Andy Warhol, Paul McCartney, Keith Richards, Jimmy Page etc. they all here! You should have been there. Steven was, he just can’t remember enough to actually put together a coherent story. Hey, its only Rock and Roll.
