Sharp Teeth

It has been said before that in the city of L.A. it's 'dog eat dog'; yet never has a literary work encompassed this adage more appropriately than in author Toby Barlow's stunning debut-- free verse-- novel "Sharp Teeth". Set amid a city many know, an age-old race of lycanthropes (people/wolves) have decided to go quite public with their desire to strengthen the pack. This may seem simple enough, if you consider being torn apart by wolves simple, but there are at least two people to whom this mayhem just doesn't add up; the kindhearted dogcatcher Anthony and the love of his life...who is hiding from Anthony that she's a wolf as well.
