The Devil's Eye

While on vacation, interstellar antiques dealer Alex Benedict and his assistant, Chase Kolpath, receive a puzzling message from Vicki Greene, a well-known writer whom neither Alex nor Chase have ever met. When they return to Rimway andtry to offer Greene the help she requested, they find that she has asked for and received a mind wipe. She now has no memory of the past or of asking Alex for help; however, she has transferred a large sum of money to Alex without explanation. To find out what Greene wanted Alex to help her with, he must travel to a remote planet, where he uncovers a secret that someone is willing to kill to keep hidden - though the price of silence is far too high.
