Assailed on all sides by AI, Savi 23/18, the digital, rather than the artificial, intelligence in an autonomous cab for hire, explores the vast extent of human experience, comparing it to the programmed resources of the latest AI technologies, attempting to discover why man's irrational, rather than logical, behaviour was the catalyst for most of the major step-changes in evolution.

Savi forms an unlikely liaison with Aubrey Smith and his friends, an Independent MP who have formed a pressure group to bring the public's attention to the Governments' increasingly authoritarian decisions. The group, ANON, becomes embroiled in an unlikely conspiracy which appears to be Government led, but as events unfold, other agencies seem to be involved
