Lauren Greenfield, the creator of such projects as "Girl Culture" and "Fast Forward," takes us into the lives of women suffering from eating disorders. This unflinching book takes us on a journey through the Renfrew Center in Coconut Creek, Florida, a residential facility dedicated to the treatment of eating disorders. Greenfield profiles four patients ranging from the ages 15 to 30. The stories of these four women are complimented by photographs of life at Renfrew and portraits of 15 other residents from a wide range of ages. "Thin" is an intimate and compassionate look at the suffering and triumphs of the women at Renfrew.
