Private Investigator Ray Dudgeon is on the trail of a messy case that somebody didn't clean up well enough. A man wasn't satisfied with the way the police handled the investigation of his daughter's murder, and decided to get a second opinion. Fine if the police did their jobs properly, but the dead woman in question was much more than her father could have suspected and Ray Dudgeon knows a cover-up when he sees it. Pretty soon he's on the trail of some big corporations with ties to the United States' war on terror, and the mystery is getting him in deeper than he ever imagined he could go. A high-powered mix of mystery and an espionage tale.
