Vacation

In this astonishingly perplexing debut novel from author Deb Olin Unferth, readers are taken on a post-modern ride through the effects of the human journey that one must take when coming, going, seeking, and leaving. "Vacation" is set among a sea of word-play and taut prose, which assures readers very early on that every word is there for a very particular--if not peculiar--reason. Centered around a man named Myers (who after a childhood accident has lived unknowingly with a severely misshapen head) as he follows his wife, who is following another man, who he has identifies as a former classmate named Gray. What follows can only be read to be understood; rest assured this vacation is unlike any.
