Variable Star

In 1955, science-fiction's greatest author began a novel that he would never complete. On its rediscovery a few years ago, the Robert A. Heinlein Trust chose one author to finish it: the Hugo and Nebula Award-winning author Spider Robinson. In "Variable Star," Robinson stays faithful to Heinlein's vision, and even adds some contemporary touches to the story of Joel Johnston and Jinny Hamilton. Joel's only goal is to be a composer, but Jinny wants toget married right away. So she reveals that she is really Jinny Conrad, of the wealthiest family in the solar system. But Joel goes his own way, and only a cataclysmic event that threatens all of humanity can get them back together.
