Wish Maker

Zaki Shirazi grew up in a household full of strong and assertive women from his politically-minded mother, to his stubborn grandmother, to his cousin, Samar Api, who was his most faithful playmate growing up. As the two approach adolescence, however, their lives take them in different directions. As a young man, Zaki must venture out on his own to make a life for himself despite his desire to remain close to Samar. To complicate matters, just as Zaki is faced with monumental changes to his personal life, he also lives in an era characterized by rapid change.
